Thomas H. Johnson, age 78 of West Milton, OH passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 23, 2018. He was born September 8, 1939 in Phillipsburg, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his parents Howard Johnson and Belle {Howard} Johnson, wives Yola Von {Netzley} Johnson, Wanda {Hunt-Sowry} Johnson and daughter Tonya Lucous.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Gavin Ward, Troy, OH, Dawn and Chuck Heit, Clayton, OH, sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Sherry Sowry Troy, OH, Brad and Lisa Sowry, Troy, OH, daughter Brenda Sowry, Cincinnati, OH. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Wilmadeen Netzley, Laura, OH, brother and sister in-law, Gary and Dorothy Johnson, Union, OH, sisters and brothers in-law, Pam and Floyd Knoop, Omaha, NE, Sue and Dean Pitzer, Arcanum, OH and other family and friends.

Tom most definitely had the “gift of gab” or “chew the fat”, as he would say; he never met a stranger. After retiring from GM-Harrison Radiator, he loved to shuttle cars for Dave Arbogast, go to the diner and McDonalds to meet with his cronies. Most of all spending time with the ones he loved.

Funeral service will be held Monday, January 29 at 11:00 AM at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371; Pastor Randy Reed officiating. Burial to follow in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, OH. Visitation, Sunday, January 28th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
