Stephenson, Kenneth E. "Ken", age 70 of Tipp City passed away at his home on Thursday, May 11th, 2017. Born on April 10, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to Orville and Margaret (Francis) Stephenson. He is preceded in death by parents; mother and father in-law Shirley (Evans) and Don LaSage Grand Rapids, MI; his wife Elizabeth "Libby" (LaSage); his sister Ruth Ann Simon Versailles, OH and brother-in-law Mark LaSage Grand Rapids, MI.    

He is survived by his son Jason Stephenson at home in Tipp City; his daughter Melissa "Missy" and son-in-law Mike Laskowski and grandsons Evan and Nathan of Naperville, IL. His sister Mary (Al) Prenger of Minster, Ohio; sister-in-law Kathy (Ed) Karr Eden Prairie, MN; sister-in-law Judy LaSage Caledonia, MI and brother-in-law Brian (Jana) LaSage Parrish, Florida.  Nieces and nephews Teresa, Dennis, David, Stephanie, Amy, Mike, Katie, Betsy, Maranda, Michael, Christopher, Kimberly, Kristin and Lauren.

Ken was a 1965 graduate of Houston High School.  He enjoyed his work at Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc. as Manager of Global Laboratory Support Air Conditioning Division. He enjoyed the outdoors and worked tirelessly in his yard and garden.  He was passionate about the game of basketball loyally watching his son Jason's every practice and game. He enjoyed boating in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.  He also was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and enthusiast of the motorsport drag strip racing and raced for a time in his earlier years.  

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S Hyatt Street, Tipp City, Ohio beginning with a gathering of friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM and Mass followed at 10:30 AM, with his cousin Father Tom Schroer as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Ken to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.  Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main Street Tipp City, Ohio 45371.  A private family burial will take place in June at Pine Lake Cemetery in West Bloomfield, MI.
