Barbara J (Reed) Perry, age 83, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born in Tipp City on January 9, 1934, to the late Cecil E. and Ruth (Tygret) Perry. She graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1952 and lived in Tipp City most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband and true love, Roy Reed, and an infant daughter. She was also preceded by her parents, Cecil (1982) and Ruth (1985) her brother, Cecil E. Perry, Jr. (1999) and her sister, Ruth Joan Holder (2009). She is survived by her brother, Edward Perry and Sister-in-Law, Jean Perry of St. Petersburg, Florida and a Sister-in-Law, Patsy Perry and husband, Jack Heffner of Troy. She is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews; Pam (Wiley) Wolfe of Twinsburg, Ohio, Keith Perry of St. Petersburg, Florida, Mike (Cathy) Perry of Tipp City, Tim (Connie) Perry of Tipp City, Chris (Mary) Perry of Crestview, Florida, Lori (Joe) Braccio of St. Petersburg, Florida, Daniel (Libby) Holder of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Deanna (Gary) Fecher of Beavercreek, Ohio and David (Jeani) Holder of Troy, Ohio, many great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a faith-filled Christian and member of Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. She sang in the Choir, was involved in the Home Group, and was a good Servant, working and volunteering in numerous positions at Ginghamsburg over the years. She was employed at NCR, was Co-Owner of D & B Amoco, and worked at Ochs Industries. She was active in the Tipp City Community Band and Tipp City Senior Citizens.
The family would like to thank the friends, doctors, nurses, the staff at Springmeade and special caregivers from Kettering Home Health Care for the care and support they have shown Barbara over the years. She truly loved the people who helped make life a little easier for her.
Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, with services immediately following. Burial will be at Memorial Park, Dayton Ohio.
