Alberta Marie Evelyn North, A.M.E.N., was born in Troy, Ohio, on May 19, 1921. She married W. Richard Cook in 1938, and together they had three sons, David (Carol Sue) and Larry (Nancy), of Tipp City and Fred (Charlotte) Cook of Piqua, Ohio. Richard passed in 1949. In 1977, “Berta” married Claude Polley of Tipp City, who passed away in 1997.

In 1987, she retired from Dolly Toy Company with 32 years of service.
She was a member of the Tipp City Senior Citizens and enjoyed dancing with the Senior Line Dancers as the oldest member in her mid-80’s as they traveled the area performing in clubs and nursing homes.
Her favorite past times was entertaining the grandkids and traveling with the Seniors on their monthly trips, working in her yard and watching birds; especially cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Margaret (Newland) North and sister Irene Hornbeck. Survived by one sister, Joyce Jackson of Piqua. Grandchildren: Dianne (Lytle), Chad Cook, Tina Cook, Gail (Cook) Blackburn, Richard Cook, Angela (Cook) Manson, Shellie (Cook) Hay and Jeff Cook. Great Grandchildren Jessica (Lytle) Nickles, Matthew Lytle, Jonathon and Joshua Blackburn, Casey and Peyton Cook, Trenton Elliott, Mara Manson, Jordan Hay, Taylor Dobyans, Theo Cook and Samatha and Ethan Cook. Six Great-Great Grandchildren Allison Kinzig, Abigail Nickels, Kaleb and Emma Lytle and Samuel and Phillip Blackburn.
Friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00am on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am.
