Ona Carnelia (York) Kross "Connie" age 69, of Tipp City, Ohio, formerly of Xenia passed away on Christmas Day at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
Connie was born June 14, 1947 in Eagan, Tennessee to the late John E. and Lois J. (Richardson) York.
Connie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years Robert W. T. Kross in December of 2007 and brother Russell Cox.
Connie is survived by daughter Melissa Robin and her husband Kenneth Clack, Tipp City, son John Robert and his wife Jaycee Kross, Torrington, Wyoming. Also surviving are sisters Vickie (Gerald) Vagedes, Beavercreek, Ohio, Debra (Paul) Burns, San Diego, California, grandchildren Miranda Kross, Casey Clack, Madison Kross, Austin Clack, Brayden Clack, Kristen (Jake) Fisk, Jacob Cunningham, Chloe Cunningham, Cecilia Oryan, and Brianna Oryan. Great Grandchildren Katana, Madisyn, Mason, Levi and Sami. She also leaves behind companion Roger Noll, former daughter-in-law and caregiver Jenni Kross, and best friends Lonnie and Sally White along with a niece and 4 nephews.
Connie was a 1966 graduate of Stebbins High School. She retired from Miami Valley Hospital after 35 years. She had an immense love for Christmas, Longaberger Baskets, playing cards and spending time with family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton in the Shaw Building at 324 Wilmington Avenue with Hospice Chaplain Rev. Mollie Magee officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 2:00.
As a final gesture of her giving spirit Connie donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice.
